It’s June already! May has been a busy month and I have been less active on socials whilst I have been working on a few deliverables! However, exciting times as it’s almost time for series 3 of Talking CriticalEd!
It’s been a few months since I have released a new series. I have decided to focus on educator timelines for the next set of episodes. I know the summer season can often feel overwhelming with marking and preparing for the next academic year. Still, I know it’s a time when a lot of educators have personal space for reflection (once all that marking is done of course)!
What have I got lined up?
As in series 1 and 2, I will present the podcast as a solocast. I know some of you are keen to join me and there will be a time, don’t worry! For now, I have carefully curated some sub-topics under critical thinking in Higher/Further Education that will interest educators, students, Academic Developers and Learning Consultants.
The topics
- The Role of Critical Thinking in Curriculum Design
- Incorporating Critical Thinking into Assessment Practices
- Addressing Common Challenges in Promoting Critical Thinking Amongst Students
- Cultivating a Culture of Critical Thinking in Educational Institutions
- Critical Thinking: Innate or Learned?
I do have one week spare where I have not yet assigned a topic, so if you have any critical thinking challenges you’d like me to talk about, send me a message and I will look into it and potentially record an episode!
